Representatives from Flotek Industries celebrate entering into an Adopt-a-School partnership with Frazier Elementary School on Sept. 21.

Sept. 22, 2016—A large sign in the lobby of Flotek Industries’ Houston corporate office displays the corporation’s guiding principle: “Making a Difference.” Flotek even owns the domainmakingadifference.com. When the opportunity came to enter into an Adopt-a-School partnership with Frazier Elementary School, Flotek put the principle into action.

“We very much believe that, whether it be with our families, our clients or giving back to the community,” said Trudy Boudreaux, Flotek’s vice president of research and innovation excellence and knowledge outreach. “We have wanted to adopt a school for a long time. Frazier is one of the places we can make a real difference and we’re excited about that.”

CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community and business partners to utilize the resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.

Several Flotek representatives visited Frazier on Sept. 21 to surprise the staff with the adoption, facilitated by Leslie Francis, director of marketing and business relations. They provided breakfast and a photo booth with costume accessories to celebrate the occasion.
